Kanye West and Irina Shayk reportedly cut up up after a whirlwind romance

“Kanye took pictures of Irina at every opportunity,” said a second source of her romantic getaway. “She loved posing for him, and he was really into what he created with his photographs. She looks like his muse. “

That same month, a separate source told E! News about how the rapper “Fade” and the Russian supermodel got along. For one thing, they both run in the same fashion circles and soon went from acquaintances to something more.

“Kanye and Irina recently connected when they were both in New York City. They met one night and had chemistry and hit it off,” the insider previously said, and another source added, “It’s very easy going and she only been in contact for about a month. Kanye said he doesn’t want anything serious but likes Irina’s vibe. “

However, if their breakup is any indication, their relationship just seems to have taken its course.

CDC recommends vacationers at excessive danger for Covid problems keep away from cruises

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday that travelers at high risk of serious complications from Covid-19 should avoid cruises regardless of their vaccination status.

The updated guidelines also recommended that travelers who are not fully vaccinated should not cruise.

The new council follows several coronavirus outbreaks reported on board cruise lines, according to the CDC.

While the agency doesn’t introduce the same masking requirements that apply to planes, trains, and other public transportation, it suggested that face-covering be worn for cruise passengers in common areas.

“The virus that causes Covid-19 spreads easily between people in close proximity on board ships, and the likelihood of getting Covid-19 on cruise lines is high,” the CDC said in its updated guidance.

The agency advised all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, to get tested one to three days before a cruise and three to five days after their return. Anyone taking a cruise should be in quarantine for seven days after returning, even if they tested negative for the virus.

The new policy comes just a week after the Belize Tourism Board announced that 27 people on board a Carnival cruise tested positive for Covid.

During Friday’s extended trading, Carnival Cruises shares fell more than 2%, Norwegian Cruise Line shares fell nearly 3%, and Royal Caribbean Cruises shares fell more than 2%.

After the industry closed at the beginning of the pandemic due to multiple outbreaks on board ships, the CDC has enforced strict guidelines to prevent similar events from occurring.

Of the three cruise lines, Royal Caribbean was the first to return to operations and had few cases on board ships, which was the target, according to CEO and Chairman Richard Fain.

Royal Caribbean and Carnival have allowed some unvaccinated passengers on board ships, but Norwegian has not.

Norwegian even filed a lawsuit against Florida surgeon general to halt a state ban that prevented companies from requiring customers to provide proof of Covid vaccination. The cruise company was granted a temporary stay in enforcement, but Florida has filed an appeal.

Soulja Boy reacts to Atari after the corporate denied he’s the brand new CEO

Soulja boy

Furious! It looks like Atari & Soulja Boy’s potential business partnership would end before it really began. Both parties do not appear to be on the same side when it comes to ownership, according to the rapper “Rick & Morty” claims. Yesterday, Soulja announced that he is the new CEO and owner, and plans to re-shape the video game company that grew in popularity in the 1970s. However, Atari rejected the change, confirming that Soulja is not the CEO.

Last night the company blew up the air, tweeted, “We know being the Atari CEO is a dream job, but that honor goes to Wade Rosen.” This seemed to have upset Soulja because he went live and called Atari. During the live, he shared an excerpt from a supposedly 30-page contract claiming the company asked for his help because he was the hottest rapper in the game.

Soulja jumped on the live and said he was about to expose the company. “Never try to go on the internet and gamble with me for nothing. Your company called me to talk about bringing your company back. ”As life went on, he also stated that he had never capped or lied in his life. While Soulja was very upset, she continued to shoot Atari, saying, “Nobody thinks about a damn Atari. I’ve never played Atari before. I play Sonic. I play sega. I play Nintendo. “

Before the live ended, Soulja made it clear that he didn’t want to interact with Atari and gave them a “f ** k ya’ll”. The Roommates explained it in the comments on Soulja’s reaction to the news. Tank even walked into The Shade Room and shared his dime on the situation, commenting, “You needed the controversy for us to even know it still existed. Well played.”

Stephen Miller Gutted Visa Packages So Afghans Could not Come To The US

Former Trump administration official Olivia Troye confirmed that Trump and Stephen Miller gutted the Special Immigrant Visa program so that Afghans couldn’t come to the US.

Video of Troye:

On #Velshi @OliviaTroye confirms that Trump and Stephen Miller intentionally gutted the Special Immigrant Visa program to keep Afghan and Iraqi refugees from coming to the US, “The resources on the program were being gutted and moved around elsewhere.” https://t.co/ouOCqelLMaImage

Troye said on MSNBC’s Velshi:

What I will say is this when it came to the topic of refugees especially, considering all the anti-immigration policies being executed under the Trump administration and everything that Stephen Miller propagated and pushed the refugee conversation was one of the toughest. It’s a known thing across the United States government across people who worked on the issue that we were walking on eggshells whenever weld have the discussion.

And these meetings were held working groups across the national security council where people have State Department DHS, many people were very vocal. The Pentagon especially was vocal about the S.I.V,  P2 people, Iraqis people in Afghanistan who were helping our troops who still were waiting for years in the pipeline and then it slowly starts to slow down to a trickle.

That is because the resources on the program were being gutted and moved around elsewhere. Like I met with organizations. I met with refugee resettling organizations who work on the process. They would come to me and say, we’re not seeing the contracts. We’re not seeing the funding. What’s happening here?

And so there was a clear delineation of what was exactly going on which is why it’s so frustrating to me to watch these  revisionist history narratives happening right now with some of these people that are pushing this rhetoric or saying that Trump would have solved the problem.

Elizabeth Neumann, who was also served in the Trump administration, backed up Troye’s characterization:

RGD91kZm normalI can vouch for @OliviaTroye’s characterization 👇. Will add that we have proof of what Trump would have done – he abandoned our allies in the no-notice decision to withdraw from Syria. Kurds, Iraqi SIVs, P2s, NGOs were left scrambling and many died. https://t.co/4tAbsMCSWEImage

Trump And Stephen Miller Are The Reason Why US Allies Are Trapped In Afghanistan

Governmental systems like visa programs are built, developed, and maintained across administrations over the course of years and decades. It is a fundamental function of government.

It is much easier to destroy a program or system than it is to build it.

Trump and Stephen Miller destroyed the legal immigration system in the United States, so on top of COVID and the economy, the Biden administration inherited a giant hole where the legal immigration system had been that they are trying to rebuild and repair.

If Trump had been trying to get our allies out of Afghanistan instead of working to seal them in, the current situation on the ground in Kabul would not be happening right now.

The Biden administration had their hands tied by Trump, which is why it is galling to hear the people who created the problem in Afghanistan blame Joe Biden.

The blood of every Afghan who worked the Americans that the Taliban kills is on the hands of Stephen Miller and Donald Trump.

‘American Idol’ Finalist Syesha Mercado Is Reunited With Her New child

syesha mercado

Former ‘American Idol’ season 7 finalist Syesha Mercado and her partner, Tyron Deener, have been reunited with their newborn daughter Ast after Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies removed her from their care last week due to an alleged Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation.
The interaction in Florida, which was caught in a heartbreaking viral video, has grabbed the attention of thousands and even caused civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump to step in. Authorities further claimed the couple didn’t inform them Syesha had given birth, while an ongoing case for their son, Amen’Ra (who is in CPS custody), was happening.

Tyron shared the excellent news on Syesha’s Instagram and thanked everyone for helping them get the resources they needed to assist with bringing Ast home. In the clip, Tyron advised they still have work to do to bring Ra home, who was removed from the couple’s custody in March after a doctor claimed he was malnourished, which the couple denies. Tyron shared a special thank you to the people who donated to their GoFundMe account in the clip. He said, “Thank you, because of y’all, we had the proper support to get the best attorneys in the country.” In addition, Tyron said he would be trying to help families reunite with their children in CPS custody.

As of now, Syesha and Tyron’s GoFundMe account has raised over $432,200 from their $200,000 goal. In the description of the account, they detailed the day Ra was taken away on March 11th. The account explains that Syesha took Ra to Johns Hopkins All Children’s hospital after her milk supply was low and needed assistance. She claims authorities were called after they alleged she refused a B12 shot, an allegation she says is an absolute lie. With the growing support for Syesha and Tyron’s fight to bring Ra home, Syesha has used her platform to advocate for other mothers who are dealing with having their children “legally kidnapped.”

Interest in traveling between Singapore and Germany skyrocketed after the announcement of a so-called vaccinated itinerary between the two countries, which means vaccinated travelers can skip the quarantine.

Popular online travel booking site Expedia said that Friday afternoon searches for trips from Singapore to destinations in Germany increased almost ten times the average for the past seven days.

There is also great interest in traveling from Germany to Singapore, it said. “While Singapore was never among the top 10 travel destinations for German travelers, it was interesting to see that interest in traveling from Frankfurt and Munich to Singapore has increased by 70% in the past 24 hours,” said Lavinia Rajaram, APAC -Communication manager at Expedia, in a Friday statement.

“With the launch of the Vaccinated Itinerary Program, it will certainly bode well for those who are already vaccinated and have the desire to travel, and will give the travel industry a welcome boost,” added Rajaram.

Singapore’s vaccinated travel route with Germany was announced on Thursday by the city-state, which extended the initiative to Brunei as well.

Applications for quarantine-free travel to Singapore from Germany or Brunei will be open from September, but are subject to certain conditions. Fully vaccinated people traveling to Singapore are required to take four Covid tests – one two days before departure, one on arrival, one on the third day, and another on the seventh day.

Further conditions for traveling to Singapore from Germany or Brunei are:

  • Travel on designated non-stop flights for the vaccinated itinerary (VTL);
  • Stay in Germany or Brunei for 21 consecutive days before the flight;
  • Download a contact tracking app in Singapore.

On ticket prices, Expedia’s Rajaram added that airlines offering flights under the program have announced “competitive prices”.

Still, Rajaram said, “It is too early to say if prices will rise in the next few days – but we can expect demand to grow closer to Christmas time.”

The search queries for trips from Hong Kong and Macau are also increasing

Singapore had also announced that travelers from Hong Kong and Macau can now apply for a flight pass to travel to Singapore regardless of their vaccination status.

They don’t have to be in quarantine either, they have to take a Covid test upon arrival in Singapore and self-isolate until they get a negative test result, Singapore authorities said.

Search queries for trips to Singapore from the two Chinese territories also increased after the announcement – by almost 450%, according to Expedia.

“This comes as no surprise to us as travelers in Hong Kong (HK) have been eagerly hoping for this first vacation trip. Singapore is still a top destination for Hong Kong travelers in the second half of the year, ”said Expedia.

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin loses prime expertise in battle for NASA landers

Jeff Bezos flew into space late last month, but his company has lost top talent since the billionaire space founder returned to Earth.

CNBC has learned that at least 17 key executives and senior engineers have left Blue Origin this summer, with many moving on in the weeks following Bezos’ space flight.

Two of the engineers, Nitin Arora and Lauren Lyons, announced jobs at other space companies this week: Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Firefly Aerospace, respectively.

Others have been quietly updating their LinkedIn pages over the past few weeks.

Any unannounced departure has been confirmed to CNBC by people familiar with the matter. Those departures include: Steve Bennett, Senior Vice President of New Shepard, Jeff Ashby, Head of Mission Assurance (who has retired), Scott Jacobs, Sales Director for National Security, Bob Ess, Senior Director of New Glenn, Tod Byquist , Senior Director of the First Tier of New Glenn, Senior Finance of New Glenn Manager Bill Scammell, Senior Manager of Production Testing Christopher Payne, New Shepard Technical Project Manager Nate Chapman, Senior Propulsion Design Engineer Dave Sanderson, Senior HLS Human Factors Engineer Rachel Forman, BE-4 Controller Lead Integration and Testing Engineer Jack Nelson, New Shepard Lead Avionics Software Engineer Huong Vo, BE-7 Avionics Hardware Engineer Aaron Wang, Propulsion Engineer Rex Gu, and Rocket Engine Development Engineer Gerry Hudak.

Those who announced they were leaving Blue Origin didn’t say why, but frustration with management and a slow, bureaucratic structure are often cited in employee reviews on the Glassdoor job site.

A company spokesperson highlighted Blue Origin’s growth in a statement to CNBC.

“Blue Origin grew by 850 employees in 2020 and we have grown another 650 in 2021 so far. In fact, we’ve almost quadrupled in the past three years. We continue to occupy important management positions in manufacturing. , Quality, engine design and vehicle design. We are building a team and we have great talent, “said the spokesman.

Some of the retired engineers were part of Blue Origin’s astronaut lunar lander program. Bezos’ company lost its bid for a valuable NASA development contract in April when SpaceX was announced as the only award winner under the Space Agency’s Human Landing System program, receiving a $ 2.9 billion contract.

But even though the Government Accountability Office last month rejected Blue Origin’s protest against NASA’s decision, the company has further escalated its fight to participate in the HLS program. Blue Origin first launched a PR offensive against SpaceX’s Starship rocket and then sued NASA in federal court on Monday.

A $ 10,000 bonus

Blue origin

The company has nearly 4,000 employees in the United States, with headquarters in Kent, Washington, near Seattle, and offices in Cape Canaveral, Florida; Van Horn, Texas; and Huntsville, Alabama.

Ten days after Bezos’ space flight on July 20, Blue Origin gave all of its full-time employees an unconditional cash bonus of $ 10,000, several people familiar with the situation told CNBC. None of Blue Origin’s contractors received it. The company confirmed the bonus, with a spokesperson saying it was intended as a “thank you” for reaching the milestone of getting humans into space.

Two people told CNBC that the bonus was perceived internally as an attempt by corporate management to persuade talent to stay in response to the number of employees who filed resignations after the introduction.

A look at Glassdoor reveals a marked difference in employee satisfaction with the leadership of Blue Origin compared to that of other leading space companies. According to Glassdoor, only 15% of Blue Origin employees approve of CEO Bob Smith – up from 91% for Elon Musk at SpaceX or 77% for Tory Bruno at the United Launch Alliance.

The HLS fight

Blue origin

NASA’s Human Landing System program is one of the critical parts of the agency’s plan, known as Artemis, to return US astronauts to the lunar surface.

Last year NASA awarded nearly $ 1 billion in concept development contracts for HLS – with SpaceX receiving $ 135 million, Leidos subsidiary Dynetics $ 253 million, and Blue Origin $ 579 million. The space agency then expected to award two of these three companies for hardware development contracts this year. However, after a lack of requested funding for HLS from Congress, NASA decided to only give SpaceX a contract worth about $ 2.9 billion.

Blue Origin and Dynetics each quickly filed protests with the US Government Accountability Office, which stopped NASA’s work on the program until the protests could be resolved. GAO confirmed NASA’s decision on July 30th. On August 16, Blue Origin went one step further and sued NASA in US federal court.

NASA has paid $ 300 million of its SpaceX contract to date, with payment being made on the day GAO declined to protest. However, the space agency’s work on HLS has again been suspended – this time due to Blue Origin’s lawsuit, according to court records on Thursday – and will not resume until November 1.

Big delays

Billionaire businessman Jeff Bezos will launch with three crew members aboard a New Shepard missile on the world’s first unattended suborbital flight from Blue Origin Launch Site 1 near Van Horn, Texas on July 20, 2021.

Joe Skipper | Reuters

Blue Origin has struggled to execute several large programs since Bezos hired Smith as CEO in 2017. Bezos founded the company in 2000 with the aim of “creating a future where millions of people in space live and work to help the earth”. Delays – although common in the industry where the saying “space is tough” is persistently heard – has pushed Bezos’ vision back, highlighted by the departure of Blue Origin’s chief operating officer late last year.

Bezos launched to the edge of space as one of the members of the first crew aboard the reusable New Shepard rocket. Although the company has not disclosed any prices, New Shepard competes with Virgin Galactic in the suborbital space tourism space, with Blue Origin selling nearly $ 100 million worth of tickets for future passenger flights. Although New Shepard’s first crewed launch was a resounding success, Blue Origin leadership had previously expected the rocket to begin human launching by the end of 2017.

Blue origin

Blue Origin’s third major program is its stable rocket engine, led by the BE-4, which will propel its New Glenn rocket. The company previously said its BE-4 engines would be “ready to fly in 2017”.

However, four years later, development issues and a lack of hardware for testing have prevented Blue Origin from shipping its first aero engines, ArsTechnica reported earlier this month. The company is pushing to have two BE-4 engines ready by the end of this year. Notably, BE-4s are important beyond Blue Origin as ULA has signed a contract to use the engines to power their Vulcan rockets and has chosen Blue Origin as their supplier instead of Aerojet Rocketdyne. ULA is pushing to have its first Vulcan rocket ready for launch by the end of this year, and Blue Origin’s BE-4 engines are expected to be one – if not the – last piece to be added before launch.

Bezos has spent most of his time focusing on Amazon over the past two decades, but has continuously sold portions of his stake in the tech giant to fund the development of Blue Origin – valued at $ 1 billion per year or possibly more. Bezos stepped down as Amazon CEO last month, with many in the space industry expecting him to focus more on his space company.

De’arra Taylor and Ken Walker announce separate YouTube channels

Today was the end of an “arra” that many fans of YouTuber De’arra Taylor and Ken Walker were not ready for. The YouTube stars and once “Relationship Goals” announced that they have created separate channels. After a two-month hiatus, De’arra and Ken released a new video that surprised some of their subscribers. Over 700,000 people watched the nearly ten-minute video that was number one on YouTube to hear the reasons for the breakup.

On their DK4L channel, De’arra and Ken took viewers away by showing videos from the past and thanked their subscribers for supporting them for almost seven years. While this wasn’t “the end”, both of them joined their new channels and gave viewers an overview of what to expect. De’arra said she would vlog, demonstrate her cooking skills, shop, travel, and more. Ken advised that his channel would consist of daily vlogs, awareness projects, and health and wellness. De’arra was referring to when asked if she and Ken would clear the channel. “We saw a lot of questions. The main question is, are we going to post on this channel? We don’t know the future, ”she replied.

However, she made it clear that the channel will remain in place so viewers can continue to watch the videos posted along with her other combined channel. When the video continued, Ken said that they would not unfollow themselves or delete any pictures on Instagram. There has been much speculation that De’arra and Ken are bothering and she took the time to clear that up. “No, we don’t confess, Ken and I have no hatred, no bad blood, none of this is good.”

De’arra left the biggest question in viewers’ minds unanswered, which is their relationship status. She and Ken confirmed or denied that they were still a couple. While the news hit De’arra on Twitter, many praised her for being single. Although she didn’t confirm it, she liked the tweet “De”arra and Ken just told us they broke up without saying they broke up, “which raised some eyebrows.

Scott Gottlieb Says Vaccinated Folks Cannot Throw Warning To The Wind

Dr. Scott Gottlieb on Friday urged fellow Americans vaccinated to be vigilant about the Covid Delta variant, telling CNBC that its highly transmissible nature cannot be ignored even by people with immunity protection.

“The original premise of vaccines – that they reduce the risk of serious illness and hospitalization – is still intact,” said the former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration in the “Squawk Box”. “We are still seeing in the data that the vast majority of people who get into trouble with Covid are people who are not vaccinated.”

However, Gottlieb, who sits on the board of directors at Covid vaccine maker Pfizer, said the risk for vaccinated people is not zero.

“People who are vaccinated in an environment of this epidemic surge must take appropriate precautions, especially if they are in places with a high prevalence of infection,” he said. “You can’t just throw caution to the wind. You can still become a vehicle for dissemination in your community.”

According to a CNBC analysis of Johns Hopkins University data, the seven-day average of daily new coronavirus cases in the US is 141,060. That is 14% more than a week ago. Cases are increasing by more than 5% in 42 states plus Washington, DC

Gottlieb’s comments on Friday came in response to a question about three vaccinated U.S. Senators – Roger Wicker, Angus King and John Hickenlooper – who announced the day before that they had tested positive for Covid.

“I think there is now a realization that this delta is contagious enough to break through the vaccine protection, especially if you were vaccinated some time ago and have a waning immunity, as these senators probably did because they were before vaccinated for a long time. ” “Said Gottlieb, who headed the FDA from 2017 to 2019.

While some scientists disagree with the recent decision by U.S. health officials to allow Covid booster vaccinations starting next month, Gottlieb said he believes the portability of the Delta variant supports the idea of giving Americans third doses. Given his role on Pfizer’s board of directors, Gottlieb said he had studied the data showing diminishing immunity protection over time.

“Coincidentally, last December and January we vaccinated some of our most vulnerable elderly people in our society, especially nursing homes,” said Gottlieb. “I think it would be sensible to get extra immunity in this population, especially given that we are dealing with a much more contagious variety.”

Disclosure: Scott Gottlieb is a CNBC employee and a member of the board of directors of Pfizer, genetic testing startup Tempus, health technology company Aetion Inc., and biotechnology company Illumina. He is also co-chair of the Healthy Sail Panel of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Royal Caribbean.
