Nicole Franzel from Huge Brother is pregnant

Reality star Nicole Franzel is pregnant. The Big Brother 18 winner is expecting her first child with a fiancé Victor Arroyo placeholder image, which she competed in the 2016 reality series.

She confirmed the message on Instagram and wrote: “Nic + Vic = our little kick. We are very happy to inform you that we are PREGNANT! We feel so blessed and grateful.”

Nicole and Victor got engaged in 2018 and were planning a wedding in Turks and Caicos Islands in December 2021 before being postponed until this May due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While they’re very much in love now, the parents-to-be on Big Brother weren’t a couple at all. In fact, the romance between the two only sparked after the competition ended.

“We talked a lot as friends and, you know, through her life and my life we were just an open book. She’s fucking great,” he told Entertainment Tonight in 2018. “A lot of people don’t know her beyond Big Brother, but she’s a real life sweetheart and I love her to death.”

“It all came together at the premiere of Big Brother 19, where we were in New York and just clicked,” he continued. “It was a love story from then on, and now she’s my friend.”

Israel’s large vaccine trial is just not maintaining with new instances – particularly amongst youthful victims

For the first time since the pandemic began, Israel says more than a quarter of the most serious Covid-19 cases requiring hospitalization occur in patients under the age of 60.

The Israeli Ministry of Health blames a new strain first discovered in the UK last month.

Dr. Itamar Grotto, Deputy Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Health, said: “This is because the new British variant is more contagious, especially among young people and children.”

The news that Israel’s hospitals now have a record number of serious Covid cases came within 24 hours of Israel launching a “second dose”. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was the first to get his second shot yesterday.

Israel has been commended by the global health community for moving to vaccination so quickly. So far, nearly two million Israelis have received their first shot from around 9 million people. Israel has a highly centralized health system in which everyone has to register in a digital system, which makes it easier for the Ministry of Health to organize the vaccination campaign across the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will receive the second dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on January 9, 2021 at the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan near the coastal city of Tel Aviv.

Despite its success on the vaccine front, Israel is currently in its third nationwide lockdown due to the virus spreading. Without downplaying concerns about the rising percentage of younger people hospitalized with serious infections, epidemiologist Grotto points out that nearly 70% of Israelis over the age of 60 received their first shot, which gives them some immunity.

CNBC employee and former FDA chief Dr. Scott Gottlieb has been keeping an eye on trends in Israel and Europe since the pandemic started a year ago, and used them as a possible model for what could happen in the US, including the relatively newly discovered British variant.

“If we can use the vaccine, we can probably fight it off,” Gottlieb said, referring to the more dangerous, faster-spreading strain.

He believes the recent and alarming surge in cases in the United States is more related to vacation travel and gatherings, “but the bottom line is that we don’t have a good enough surveillance system to know for sure,” said Gottlieb.

The British variant officially only accounts for 0.2% of the US cases. Gottlieb also warned U.S. health officials that they are not yet looking so carefully for the increasingly dangerous burden ravaging an overstretched South African health system.

Pickups dominate America’s 10 best-selling autos in 2020

Look no further than last year’s best-selling auto industry vehicle for evidence of America’s love for pickups.

Led by trucks from Detroit automakers, pickups made up five of the industry’s top ten best-selling vehicles in 2020, despite rising prices and the coronavirus pandemic.

Ford Motor’s F-Series truck maintained its decades of sales dominance, followed by pickups from General Motors and Fiat Chrysler. The three best-selling pickups accounted for about 13% of the 14.5 million vehicles estimated in the U.S. last year

“Pickup trucks have been very successful. They handled this pandemic so well,” Jessica Caldwell, executive director of insights at Edmunds auto research firm, told CNBC. “They’ve all boosted their respective businesses. The Detroit companies in particular have kept business afloat pretty well.”

When sales to commercial and other fleet customers stalled during the coronavirus pandemic, automakers touted retail customers who were buying pickups as fast as they could produce in 2020. After about a two-month shutdown, companies are still trying to replenish their North American crops last spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“It was amazing. It was like pulling a rabbit out of your hat. I think automakers were basically wizards at truck sales this year,” said Jeff Schuster, president of LMC Automotive in America. “It’s been a remarkable year for trucks.”

Ford’s F-Series, which includes the F-150 and its larger siblings, remained America’s best-selling vehicle for the 39th consecutive year and the best-selling truck in the industry for the 44th consecutive year. GM’s Chevrolet Silverado regained its silver medal position after falling to third behind Fiat Chrysler’s Ram pickup in 2019.

Newcomers to the top 10 selling vehicles last year included GM’s GMC Sierra and the Toyota Tacoma, which outbid the Toyota Corolla compact car. Compared to 2019, the Corolla and Nissan Rogue dropped from the sales list, taking sixth place in 2019.

Pelosi kills McConnell’s plan to question Biden via Trump impeachment

Since impeachment wouldn’t put Trump out of office immediately, House Democrats are trying to stop McConnell from using impeachment to stifle Biden.

In a memo, Mitch McConnell set out how an impeachment trial would end the first few weeks of Joe Biden’s Senate agenda.

The Washington Post reported:

On January 20 or 21, at 1:00 p.m., the Senate would resume its review of impeachment proceedings and officially begin the process. McConnell’s memo states: “The trial of the Senate would therefore begin after President Trump’s term expires – either one hour after it expires on January 20 or twenty-five hours after it expires on January 21.”

Since the entire Senate won’t be in session, even if Trump were indicted tomorrow, he wouldn’t be removed from office until his term expires.

However, House Democrats have a plan to avoid Republicans using impeachment to tie down Biden’s cabinet nominations and pandemic aid.

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) told CNN: “We are going to take the vote that we should be holding in the House and (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) will make the decision on when and when the best time is to vote Have the managers appointed and transfer these laws to the Senate. It just so happens that if it didn’t go over there for 100 days, it could – let’s give President-elect Biden the 100 days it takes him to get his agenda up and running, and maybe we’ll get the articles at some point after that send. ”

Impeachment isn’t the quickest way to get Trump removed. The 25th amendment is the quickest way to end Trump’s term without resigning.

The penalty, if Trump is convicted, is to be forbidden from ever running for federal office again, which is why the Democrats are trying to indict him.

Mitch McConnell came up with a plan to tie the Senate and prevent Joe Biden from starting the race, but the House Democrats are two steps ahead and ready to kill McConnell’s minority disability.

Keri Hilson is defending herself after being dragged for talking out towards Donald Trump’s Twitter suspension

Many people do not feel the energy of Ms. Keri Baby today and all because of a statement she made against censorship in response to Donald Trump’s Twitter account being permanently banned.

Keri Hilson is not new to making controversial statements. She was once called out for irresponsibly sharing 5G-related conspiracy theories about the coronavirus and is back on social media defensive after warning that Trump’s Twitter account was locked into a dangerous place Wading waters.

In her first message, Keri shared a screenshot of Trump’s suspended account and talked about the risk of compromising freedom of speech.

She wrote: “That may be funny, but it’s also a little dangerous. Take Trump out for a moment. A democracy must include freedom of speech. Imagine if other leaders or popular figures are unable to express their views when they oppose the majority of world leaders. “

She continued, “Our freedom of speech is being taken from us. Slowly but surely (censorship). If the leader of the free world can be removed, envision the same right of civilians. Imagine believing every time you “discover false information” and read fraudulent propaganda reports. And lies are the only thing we see “

The folks on social media didn’t waste time following Keri to follow her message.

“Keri Hilson shows us every day that we were right to end her career,” wrote a Twitter user.

“Does Keri Hilson know, whenever the President wants to communicate with the American people that he can literally call a press conference in his home? That’s why more people need to read, ”wrote another.

But Keri tells us that her message was misinterpreted and she shot back her critics by stepping into the shadows to further explain her message. Read what she wrote below:

How you can Exit a Trip Timeshare Throughout Covid-19

Take a trip? Not likely at the moment.

With tourism nearly stalling, it seemed like a better idea long-term commitment to an annual vacation spot before a global pandemic restricted travel and caused a sudden spike in unemployment, leaving many Americans with less disposable income .

Now some timeshare owners, who are often baby boomers and are at high risk of completing Covid-19, want out of their units and financial obligation.

But that’s not always that easy.

More from Personal Finance:
Americans left their 2020 vacation days on the table
Vaccines can help recover from the trip
Troubled Americans are planning road trips

While there are different models, most timeshare owners buy either a fraction of the property at a vacation destination or points to use on a property. In any case, there are annual maintenance fees associated with the purchase of a device during the contract period.

Additionally, many owners finance their timeshare instead of paying for it directly, which means loan payments may be made in addition to annual fees. Timeshare loans had an overall crime rate of 12.8% in 2019, compared to less than 4% for traditional mortgage loans.

In 2019, the price of a typical timeshare with a week’s vacation time was $ 22,942 plus maintenance fees of about $ 1,000 per year.

Timeshare ownership had increased before the pandemic. Over the past five years, the sales volume has increased an average of 5% per year.

Major resorts and developers like Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Disney, and Club Wyndham have also continued to build units, with 865 timeshares added in 2019, up from 588 in 2018. According to the latest data, an additional 643 units were planned for 2020 by the American Resort Development Association , a trading group that represents the timeshare industry.

Last year, Marriott Vacations Worldwide announced the construction of a new property of 24 two-bedroom villas in Costa Rica and a second in Bali.

Timeshare sales for the new Marriott Vacation Club in Costa Rica are slated to begin in January 2021.

“We’re full speed ahead,” said Ed Kinney, a global vice president of the company, which owns the Sheraton, Westin, Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis brands. “We were very pleased with the speed with which we were able to respond and the willingness of our guests to return to our properties.”

Before the coronavirus crisis, 85% of timeshare owners regretted their purchase, according to a study. That number only increases during the pandemic, said Mike Kennedy, the CEO of KOALA, a vacation rental website specializing in timeshare.

“Timeshares are great when you travel and take advantage of them, when not they are a massive burden,” he said.

How to deal with a timeshare in a pandemic

Ask for a break: Depending on the terms of the contract, you may be able to rent your timeshare for a year or two while you are not using it or defer payments. “First, give your developer a call or go to the resort and ask about the options,” advised Jason Gamel, CEO of the American Resort Development Association.

Planning a Post-Pandemic Vacation: Many of the major timeshare companies have waived reservation and cancellation fees due to Covid-19, so owners who did not use their timeshare in 2020 can redeem their points and double them in 2021.

Take a trip: For example, if you don’t want to use your timeshare in Hawaii, you might want to trade or trade it in for a destination within driving distance like Williamsburg, Virginia or the Rocky Mountains, Gamel suggested. The accommodations often have a fully equipped kitchen, separate bedrooms and a living area, which makes them particularly attractive for socially distancing oneself from other resort guests.

Transfer ownership to your brother or best friend: One of the biggest selling points of a timeshare is that it can be given or gifted to friends or family, and it still is. Someone in your circle may be interested in collecting the annual payments in exchange for a specific vacation.

Take a look at the hardening aid: If you are under significant financial stress due to Covid and are unable to cover the costs, contact the developer or lender for help, advised Gamel. “They may work with you to defer payments or lower property levels to reduce payment or financial liability.”

Do you want to get out of your timeshare? Here is how

If you’re looking to get out of the way, the easiest thing to do is to check whether your developer or resort operator will take over or buy back the timeshare for free. In return, some even offer maintenance-free use for a few years.

Alternatively, you can sell it yourself on a website like the Timeshare Users Group, or hire a timeshare resale company to help unload the property for a fee. For homeowners who still owe money on their loan, this is one of the few ways to make up for some losses, especially if the unit is in a desirable vacation destination like Florida.

However, according to Gordon Newton, author of the Consumer’s Guide to Timeshare Exit, there has been an influx of scammers targeting owners who cannot use their timeshare due to the pandemic.

If you’re looking to hire a third party, check the Better Business Bureau to make sure they have a trustworthy track record, he said.

The American Resort Development Association also oversees Responsibleexit.com, which offers owners a number of vetted, and often free, exit options.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan declares a serious occasion within the metropolis

Patients arrive in ambulances at the Royal London Hospital in London on January 5, 2021. The British Prime Minister made a national televised address on Monday evening, announcing that England would take action against the Covid-19 pandemic for the third time. This week, the UK recorded more than 50,000 new confirmed Covid cases for the seventh straight day.

LONDON – London Mayor Sadiq Khan declared a serious incident on Friday over the rapid spread of the coronavirus in the British capital.

He had previously warned that the virus was “out of control” and that the National Health Service was “on the verge of being overwhelmed”.

“I reported a major event in London because the threat this virus poses to our city is in crisis,” Khan said on Twitter.

“One in 30 Londoners now has COVID-19. If we don’t take action now, our NHS could be overwhelmed and more people will die,” he added.

Serious incidents have already been reported following the fire in Grenfell Tower in June 2017 and the terrorist attacks on Westminster Bridge in March 2017 and London Bridge in November 2019.

The announcement comes shortly after weekly dates through January 2nd. London’s coronavirus infection rate had risen to 1,038 per 100,000 population. That number contrasts with a citywide infection rate of 818 per 100,000 in the previous week.

For comparison, the national infection rate was 612 per 100,000 in the week ending January 2.

Stressed health facilities

Increasing pressure on already strained city health facilities coincides with the resurgent spread of Covid-19 as the UK scrambles to contain a highly infectious variant of the virus.

On Wednesday, the Health Service Journal reported, citing a leaked briefing from NHS England to senior doctors in the capital, that London hospitals were well on their way to being overwhelmed by Covid within two weeks.

The report said the NHS England presentation predicted the capital’s health service would have close to 2,000 beds for general, acute and intensive care by Jan. 19, even if additional Covid patients grew at the slowest rate that is considered likely.

NHS England was not immediately available to comment on the report when CNBC contacted him on Friday.

A nurse is adjusting her PPE in the intensive care unit at St. George’s Hospital in Tooting, South West London, where the number of intensive care beds for the critically ill had to be increased from 60 to 120, the vast majority of them for coronavirus patients.

Daily death toll hits record

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the third national lockdown for England on Monday to contain the spread of the virus. He urged people to “stay home,” just like they did in March 2020 during the country’s first national lockdown. The measures came into law on Wednesday.

To date, the UK has registered 2.89 million cases of Covid-19 with 78,633 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. On Friday, the government reported that an additional 1,325 people had died within 28 days of a positive test, the highest daily death toll since the pandemic began.

In recent weeks, optimism about the mass rollout of Covid vaccines appears to have been tempered by the resurgent rate of spread of the virus.

The UK on Friday approved Moderna’s Covid vaccine for emergencies in the country. It is the third shot approved for use in the UK following previous vaccine approvals from Pfizer and BioNTech, as well as the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca.

In a year marked by a deadly global pandemic, Japan’s box office set a new record.

An animated film based on a popular manga called “Demon Slayer” became the top grossing film in the country’s history, beating the record for Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away” in 2001. It has ticket sales of more than US $ 322 million Dollars earned.

Japan, an island nation in East Asia of more than 126 million people, has had fewer than 300,000 coronavirus cases and only saw box office revenues drop by 46% in 2020 to $ 1.27 billion.

By comparison, the domestic box office slumped 80% to $ 2.28 billion as U.S. coronavirus cases have topped 21.6 million since the pandemic began. Canada, a box office employee, has seen fewer than 645,000 cases, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Japan is just one of many countries in the Asia-Pacific region that have managed to manage the coronavirus pandemic in such a way that case numbers have remained low and consumer confidence has remained high.

In countries like China, Australia and South Korea, where cases of Covid have dropped significantly, analysts and operators are seeing box offices rebound and thrive.

In fact, its market share in the Asia-Pacific region increased in 2020. While the global box office was significantly lower last year – about 70% of its 2019 value, or about $ 12.4 billion – the Asia-Pacific region accounts for 51% of the Ticket sales. In 2019, these countries accounted for 41%, according to data from Comscore and analysis from Gower Street.

By comparison, in 2019 the US and Canadian box offices accounted for 30% of global ticket sales. In 2020 this market share fell to just 18%.

The Asia-Pacific region has gone to great lengths to fight the coronavirus, including breaking travel, setting up extensive testing and tracing of contacts, hiring masks, and implementing strict social distancing rules. Regardless of the approach taken by each country, its ability to reduce coronavirus cases and reopen their economies shows that if the US is able to do the same, similar results can be achieved.

So far, the response to coronavirus in America has been slow, and cases continue to climb to historic levels, with hospital stays and deaths increasing too.

As of August, when the majority of the world’s theaters reopened, the Asia-Pacific region has nearly 78% of the world’s total box office.

Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Comscore, said these countries have bounced back after widespread theater closings.

First, these countries have been able to control their outbreaks by banning their outbreaks, introducing contact tracing and enforcing mask mandates. The reduction in the number of cases and strict preventive measures have increased the confidence of potential moviegoers.

Second, these countries had new non-Hollywood films to release. Domestically, the box office stalled because there was no new product for the audience to see. Even when theaters reopened with limited capacity, most of the films were legacy titles such as Star Wars, Jaws, and Goonies.

In the Asia-Pacific region, there was always new content in the studios to get people off their couches. And moviegoers turned out in droves.

In China, two films have generated more than $ 400 million at the local box office: “The Eight Hundred,” a war drama from the 1930s, and “My People, My Homeland,” a comedy film made up of five short stories . Both films were released in the second half of the year.

By comparison, the top grossing film in the US and Canada in 2020 was Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life”. The action film, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is the third in the Bad Boys franchise and was released in January before the virus spread to the United States. It raised $ 204 million during its theatrical release.

No film released domestically in the second half of the year reached nearly $ 100 million.

Universal’s family animated film “The Croods: A New Age” and Warner Bros.’s superhero sequel “Wonder Woman 1984” both made less than $ 30 million domestically. Another Warner Bros title, Tenet, was released on Labor Day weekend and did not exceed $ 60 million in its theatrical release.

“There is no doubt that going back to a normal big screen market will take a lot of time and patience,” said Dergarabedian. “However, the lessons of the example of countries that have rallied strongly in recent months show that a well-managed Covid response and engaging new films can work together to spark box office prosperity now and in the future kindle. “
