That is us preview: The fact of fatherhood hits Kevin

On the way home.

In this exclusive clip from tonight, the brand new February 23rd This Is Us, Kevin Pearson (Justin Hartley) learns that Madison (Caitlin Thompson) and the twins are discharged from the hospital. While Madison seems delighted with the news, the reality of fatherhood hits a nervous Kevin.

“Okay, a cold pumpkin cream brew,” begins a casual Kevin. “And a vanilla steamer for my new favorite mother, who can’t have caffeine yet. So have fun with it.”

Kevin doesn’t know his life will change anytime soon! “Big news. Sister Carmen just told me,” says Madison. “Guess who has two thumbs and two newborns and is going home today?”

With a stunned expression, Kevin simply says, “Really? Wow.”

When Madison comments that she is ready to sleep in her own bed again, she realizes Kevin’s lack of enthusiasm. She asks, “Aren’t you excited? You said this cot was built for R2-D2.”
