Newsmax apologizes and retires from reporting on the Dominion voting machine

When it became clear that Donald Trump had lost the 2020 election, the conservative media immediately got to work to make him feel better. A large part of this effort has been to question the integrity of the elections.

Conspiracy theories were a big part of this movement, and one of the most popular theories concerned Dominion voting machines. Newsmax anchors and their guests often claimed the machines had been tampered with for Biden.

The network was founded by Dr. Dominion employee Eric Coomer is suing. You recently settled down with Coomer and apologized and withdrawn.

The statement read in part: “Newsmax would like to extend its coverage of Dr. Coomer to clarify, indicating that Newsmax initially covered allegations made by President Trump’s attorneys, supporters, and others that Dr. Coomer had played a role in the manipulation of Dominion voting machines, Dominion voting software, and the final vote in the 2020 presidential election, Newsmax found no evidence that such allegations were true. “

The writing continued:

“There are several facts that our viewers should know. Newsmax found no evidence that Dr. Coomer has tampered with Dominion voting machines or voting software in any way, or that Dr. Coomer ever said so. Neither has Newsmax found any evidence that Dr. Coomer has ever taken part in a conversation with members of “Antifa”, nor that he was directly involved in a party political organization.
