Hunter McGrady is ready to see even more changes in the fashion industry.
Almost four years after first appearing in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue, the 27-year-old model was hoping curvy girls like her would have more options. Before speaking at The BodCon’s virtual conference this February, Hunter had to think about what she’s seen and experienced in the fashion world.
“I think a lot of people want to report that the industry has changed fast and we’ve seen immense growth, but the truth is it’s slow. It’s slow, but I think we’re getting there,” shared Hunter exclusively with with E! News. “I live in New York City and I still haven’t got the chance to shop at any of the SoHo or 5th Avenue stores because none of them are my size. I only have a few select stores that I can buy online.”
The body positivity advocate added, “I really am missing a huge part of your customer who is there and ready to spend the money. You just don’t have the product and for me the question is why? Why don’t we care these women who urgently only need beautiful fashion? Fashion has no size. Fashion has no age. Fashion is for everyone. “
