TSR Unique: Jack Harlow apparently shot Saweetie throughout an interview with us on the purple carpet on the BET Awards – he later stated “That is A Pal Vibe”

Roommate, social media is still talking about the BET Awards – and a red carpet moment between Saweetie and Jack Harlow during a red carpet interview with The Shade Room is still a hot topic. When Saweetie came up to us and granted us an interview on the red carpet, she was interrupted by Jack Harlow, who quickly took her hand and appeared to be trying to get his picture … or so it looked.

After the viral photo of Saweetie and Jack Harlow that set social media on fire with the thought that the two could possibly be the new “It” couple on the block, the rumors about the two during an interview turned on the red Carpet even more intense when it officially appeared at the BET Awards 2021 on the red carpet in The Shade Room.

When Saweetie came over to give us a quick interview, she was surprised by Jack Harlow, who took her hand and introduced himself in a rather flirtatious manner. Their exchange went as follows:

“Hi, Saweetie,” said Jack. Saweetie then hesitantly replied and said, “I know” [who you are]”She said. Jack then added,” You don’t like being caught off guard? “Saweetie fired back with,” Why are you shivering? “

When we caught Jack alone a little later without Saweetie, he informed us that he hadn’t fired his shot and instead just introduced himself to her on a platonic level. “It’s a friendship mood,” he told us.

Well, Saweetie and Jack Harlow might not be the new couple in hip-hop – but that definitely won’t stop social media from talking about them.

Walmart introduces cheap analog insulin in response to the rising value of diabetes medication

Walmart said Tuesday it would offer a cheaper version of insulin that could better fit the budgets of millions of Americans who don’t have health insurance or are struggling to pay for the life-saving diabetes drug.

Starting this week, the retailer will be selling an exclusive private label version of the analog insulin, ReliOn NovoLog, to adults and children who have a prescription. The drug will be available from membership-based Sam’s Club in mid-July. The insulin costs about $ 73 for a vial or about $ 86 for a pack of pre-filled insulin pens.

The insulin is the latest addition to Walmart’s own diabetes product brand ReliOn. It already sells an inexpensive version of insulin for around $ 25 as part of the product line, but that’s an older formulation that some doctors and proponents say isn’t as effective as newer versions of insulin at treating blood sugar fluctuations , which are called analogs.

With the move, Walmart will shift its long-standing “everyday low cost” focus on a drug that is a medical necessity for a growing number of Americans. More than 34 million people in the United States – or nearly 11% of the population – have diabetes, and about 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed each year, according to the American Diabetes Association. That percentage is around 14% for Walmart buyers, Warren Moore, Walmart’s vice president of health and wellness, said in a phone call.

As the number of people with diabetes increases, the cost of the 100-year-old drug has skyrocketed rather than decreased and has been scrutinized by lawmakers. The annual cost of insulin for people with type 1 diabetes in the United States has nearly doubled from $ 2,900 in 2012 to $ 5,700 in 2016, according to the latest data from the Health Care Cost Institute. Some of the leading insulin manufacturers, including Sanofi and Eli Lilly, were grilled by politicians during Congressional hearings over price increases for the critical drug. In some cases, the companies reacted to the criticism by introducing limited, reduced price programs.

Dr. Cheryl Pegus, executive vice president of health and wellness at Walmart, said the Walmart version of the drug will expand access to health care as it goes below the typical price and makes analog insulin available to more people. She said Walmart worked directly with manufacturer Novo Nordisk to cut costs. The price difference from brand competitors will be up to $ 101 per vial of insulin or up to $ 251 per pack of pre-filled insulin pens, Pegus said.

“We hope this award will improve and hopefully revolutionize the accessibility and affordability of insulin,” she said on a call with reporters. “We know that many people with diabetes have difficulty managing this chronic condition because of the financial burden they have.”

Walmart, already the largest employer and grocer in the country, has made a major foray into the healthcare sector to leverage its vast reach for other money-making opportunities. It has opened 20 clinics with budget-friendly medical care, such as $ 30 annual checkups or $ 25 dental cleanings, along with its businesses. It bought a telemedicine company, MeMD, for an undisclosed amount in May to enable virtual care. And it has previously put pressure on the pharmacy industry by launching a prescription program that sells monthly supplies of many widely used generic drugs for $ 4.

But the retail giant operates in a complex industry that has tripped other large, influential companies. Haven, a joint venture between Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan Chase, broke up earlier this year, about three years after the companies announced plans to disrupt healthcare with lower costs and improved outcomes.

Walmart has lost some of the key talent it has recruited to guide and grow its health and wellness efforts, including Sean Slovenski, formerly senior vice president of Walmart Health and Wellness; and Dr. Tom Van Gilder, who had become his first full-time chief medical officer.

The USA continues to lag behind China and Europe by way of e-car manufacturing

According to a new study by the International Council on Clean Transportation, the US lags behind China and Europe in domestic production and adoption of electric vehicles – and that gap widened from 2017 to 2020.

According to the study, more than 10 million electric cars were produced worldwide between 2010 and 2020. By the end of 2017, US-based automakers had produced 20% of global stocks. By 2020, US automakers represented only 18% of the cumulative number of electric vehicles produced since 2010, while the share of production in China and Europe increased.

According to ICCT, the government’s policy of promoting electric vehicles has made all the difference.

“The growth in electric vehicle manufacturing is happening where there are strong national guidelines designed to move the market forward,” said Nic Lutsey, program director at ICCT, in a statement. “Hundreds of billions of dollars are on the table and the United States hasn’t even bothered to pull up a chair.”

From 2010 to 2020, researchers found that China was the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles geographically, accounting for about 44% of all electric vehicles manufactured with about 4.6 million units in both production and sales during that decade.

Europe produced 25% of the world’s electric vehicles from 2010 to 2020, producing 2.6 million and selling 3.2 million, making the region a net importer.

In the last year alone, U.S. automakers produced at least 450,000 electric vehicles, with Tesla accounting for about 85% of that production for the year. Annual exports of electric vehicles from plants in the United States exceeded 215,000 in 2020, most of any single nation.

Stronger overseas demand than the US is making it necessary for electric vehicle manufacturers like Tesla to ship and set up stores outside of the US. Companies tend to sell their electric vehicles relatively close to the plants where they are assembled.

Electrics, including hybrids and all-electric vehicles, accounted for just 2.3% of new vehicle sales in the U.S. in 2020. Meanwhile, 10% of new car sales in Europe were electrics and 6% were electrics in China.

This demand abroad creates a kind of network effect. Automakers have invested more money and are planning more aggressive plans to build new plants and sell a wider variety of electric vehicles overseas than in the US, the ICCT study finds.

For example, Volkswagen is expected to have the largest total production of electric vehicles by 2025, based on the company’s previously announced plans and investments, with no all-electric vehicle plants in the US, but several all-electric vehicle assembly plants in Europe and China.

Only two of 44 vehicle assembly plants in the US were dedicated exclusively to manufacturing electric vehicles in 2020, the ICCT report said. Three GM plants are slated to move to production-only electric vehicles in 2021, and Tesla and Lucid Motors each have a new all-electric vehicle plant under construction. That would be seven of the 44 U.S. vehicle assembly plants that the company plans to manufacture exclusively electric vehicles by 2025.

Policy “focused on a transition to zero-emission vehicles” or the lack thereof has driven these global trends, the ICCT researchers concluded.

In Europe, the study found, automakers have introduced dozens of new electric models and have greatly increased the number of electric cars they make or want to build in recent years compared to the US. This step largely serves to comply with regional vehicle emission standards.

In China, both “demand- and supply-side measures” helped increase the production and acceptance of electric vehicles, according to the study. China has expanded and tightened a variety of consumer incentives that restrict internal combustion engine vehicles and instead make it easier to buy, register, and drive electric vehicles.

Meanwhile, some efficiency standards for vehicles were withdrawn in the United States under former President Donald Trump. And state incentives to buy electric vehicles began to be phased out for automakers with the highest volume of electric vehicles like Tesla and GM.

A new bipartisan infrastructure plan in the United States provides $ 15 billion for electric vehicle, electric bus, and mass transit infrastructure – a fraction of President Joe Biden’s earlier proposal to spend $ 174 billion to boost the electric vehicle market.

Correction: This story has been updated to reflect that the companies’ plans are for seven of the 44 U.S. vehicle assembly plants to manufacture all-electric vehicles by 2025.

Moderna shares rise after it says Covid vaccine exhibits promise in a lab setting towards variants, together with delta

Moderna said Tuesday its Covid-19 vaccine showed promise in a lab setting against coronavirus variants, including the highly contagious delta variant first identified in India.

The two-dose mRNA vaccine produced neutralizing antibodies against delta as well as beta and eta, variants first found in South Africa and Nigeria, respectively, according to Moderna.

The company said the results were based on the blood serum of eight participants one week after they received the second dose of the vaccine. The data hasn’t yet been peer-reviewed. The results, while promising, may not reflect how the vaccines actually perform in real-world scenarios against the variants.

Shares of Moderna jumped more than 6% in intraday trading after it announced the lab results.

“We remain committed to studying emerging variants, generating data and sharing it as it becomes available,” Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel said in a press release. “These new data are encouraging and reinforce our belief that the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine should remain protective against newly detected variants.”

Moderna’s update comes days after World Health Organization officials urged fully vaccinated people to continue to wear masks, social distance and practice other pandemic safety measures as delta spreads rapidly across the globe.

It also comes the same day Moderna said its vaccine was authorized for use in India, where the delta variant is thought to be behind the large outbreak there.

Delta, now in at least 92 countries, including the United States, is expected to become the dominant variant of the disease worldwide. In the U.S., the prevalence of the strain is doubling about every two weeks.

WHO officials said Friday they are asking fully vaccinated people to continue to “play it safe” because a large portion of the world remains unvaccinated and highly contagious variants, like delta, are spreading in many countries, spurring outbreaks.

The comments were a departure from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which has said fully vaccinated Americans can go maskless in most settings.

“People cannot feel safe just because they had the two doses. They still need to protect themselves,” Dr. Mariangela Simao, WHO assistant director-general for access to medicines and health products, said during a news briefing.

Authorized vaccines from Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson have demonstrated to be highly effective in preventing Covid, especially against severe disease and death.

Some variants, including delta, have shown to make the vaccines slightly less effective and WHO officials said they worry vaccinated individuals could become part of transmission chains.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that about half of adults infected in an outbreak of the delta variant in Israel were fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine, prompting the government there to reimpose an indoor mask requirement and other measures.

In the U.S., President Joe Biden warned that unvaccinated people are especially at risk of becoming infected with delta.

He said Covid deaths nationwide will continue to rise due to the spread of the “dangerous” variant, calling it a “serious concern.”

“Six hundred thousand-plus Americans have died, and with this delta variant you know there’s going to be others as well. You know it’s going to happen. We’ve got to get young people vaccinated,” Biden said Thursday at a community center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Detroit automakers carry masks mandates for absolutely vaccinated staff

Ford started resuming vehicle production in the U.S. on May 18, 2020 with new coronavirus safety protocols such as health assessments, personal protective equipment and facility modifications to increase social distancing.

DETROIT — Leaders of the Detroit automakers and the United Auto Workers union have agreed to make face masks optional for employees who are fully vaccinated against Covid -19.

Workers for the companies, including non-salaried employees, won’t have to show proof of vaccination, according to officials with the UAW and General Motors, Ford Motor and Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler).

The Tuesday announcement comes after a task force between the companies and the union reviewed medical experts’ reports, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards on how to safely work through the pandemic.

The UAW and automakers last month lifted some Covid-19 protocols but not the masks, which have been a major complaint of plant employees, many of whom do physical work in hot environments.

“While the UAW and the companies continue following the protocols that have kept our workplaces safe, we know that one of the best ways to fight this virus is by getting vaccinated,” the UAW said in a statement. “The Task Force continues to encourage everyone to roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated against COVID-19 so that we can protect our sisters and brothers and their families.”

The UAW declined to release an estimate of how many of its roughly 153,000 members with the Detroit automakers have been vaccinated.

Tyler Skaggs’ household information pretend loss of life lawsuit towards the Angels crew

Tyler Skaggs‘Family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Los Angeles Angels nearly two years after the MLB pitcher was found dead in a hotel room.

According to court records that E! News On June 29, Tyler’s parents and wife filed lawsuits in Texas and California indicting two former senior employees and the baseball team of gross negligence and wrongful death.

“The tragedy of Tyler’s death was made worse by the revelation that it could have been avoided,” the Skaggs family claimed in court documents. “The Angels failed Tyler. And because of that failure, Tyler, who was on the verge of certain and considerable success as a pitcher in the MLB, had his life cut short.”

In a statement to E! News, Angels spokesman Marie Garvey said the lawsuits were completely unfounded and the allegations were unfounded and irresponsible.

“In 2019, Angels Baseball hired a former federal attorney to conduct an independent investigation to fully understand the circumstances that led to Tyler’s tragic death,” the statement said. “The investigation confirmed that the organization did not know that Tyler was using opioids, nor was it known or informed that any employee was providing opioids to a player.”

Jen Psaki Responds to Tucker Carlson’s Wild Claims That the NSA is Spying on Him

Last week, General Mark Milley infuriated Conservatives by talking about white rage. And no one personifies the idea of white rage better than Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Carlson often talks about the persecution of white Americans during his show. On on Monday night, he said that he himself is a target of the government.

The Fox host told his audience, “[a whistleblower told us the NSA is] monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

Carlson, as he usually does, gave no proof or evidence to support his accusations

This morning Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked, “Tucker Carlson said that the NSA is spying on him. Is the administration aware of any espionage or listening efforts on US citizens by the NSA, and is Tucker Carlson one of them?”

She responded, “Well, the NSA has, I think you are well aware, everyone’s aware, everyone on this plane is aware, I should say, is an entity that focuses on foreign threats and individuals who are attempting to do us harm on foreign soil. So that is their purview, but beyond that I would point you to the intelligence community.”

Psaki’s answer made it pretty clear that Carlson’s conspiracy theory isn’t all that well thought out. Even if the government was looking into the Fox host, the NSA would not be the agency doing so.

Rolling Ray Clowns His Feminine Rivals’ BET Awards Present Seems to be: ‘Y’all May By no means Say I Rolled Out The Home Wanting Loopy’

Rolling Ray seemed to be entertained by this year’s BET Awards, but it wasn’t the show he was laughing at.

Rolling Ray has had his share of beefs this year, many of which were with female rappers. Things got pretty ugly earlier this year between him and the City Girls, specifically with Yung Miami when Ray hit below the belt by speaking on the deceased father of Miami’s son.

He also got into a big social media war with rising star Coi Leray over the word “Purrr,” which he claims he coined.

Both ladies were nominees and in attendance at the 2021 BET Awards and also seemed to be the subject of Rolling Ray’s post-award show tweet.

The tweet seemed vengeful in nature, clowning the rappers’ fashion and glam in addition to them going home empty handed.

“All the girls that went against me this year ain’t win no awards last night & hairlines, braids, & outfits was f***ed up!” Rolling Ray said. “Got soo much money but gave that, & I know my s**t caught on fire & all but y’all could never say I rolled out the house looking crazy. Tables turned last night.”

While the ladies don’t seem to be taking Rolling Ray’s bait anymore, there was a time when they participated in the foolery. Rolling Ray even demanded Caresha drop the addy so he can roll up on her!

It was amid a Twitter war between Asian Doll and the City Girls when Ray inserted himself in the drama.

Miami responded in a since-deleted tweet, “Rolling Ray chill fr. I’ll beat tf outta you respectfully. All I gotta do is push you down!” Ray clapped back, saying, “ You knew to delete that tweet… Now purr that… You cute and all, but I’ll put you in a wheelchair and have them calling you Rolling Resha.”

We hope things continue to cool down for everyone and that the beef stays in the music.

Shaq shoots down LeBron’s feedback on NBA participant accidents

Shaquille O’Neal

Scott Mlyn | CNBC

Shaquille O’Neal is firing Lebron James back for criticizing the NBA and its schedule this year. In an interview with CNBC, the former Los Angeles Lakers and TNT broadcaster star said he felt players shouldn’t complain about the full schedule this season.

“If you live in a world where 40 million people have been laid off and I make $ 200 million, you are not going to complain about me,” said O’Neal. “I would play back to back to back to back,” he added.

“I don’t knock on what anyone said, but personally I don’t complain or apologize because real people are working their way off and all we have to do is work out two hours a day and then play a game for two hours at night and make lots of money … So my thinking process is a little different. “

O’Neal’s comments come after James’ criticism that the schedule was responsible for the abundance of high-profile injuries this year, a claim the league has denied.

“They all didn’t want to listen to me about the start of the season. I knew exactly what was going to happen … These injuries aren’t just ‘PART OF THE GAME’. It’s the lack of PURE RIM REST,” James said in a series of tweets on June 16.

James’ Lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

“This is the first time juggernauts have gone missing in a while,” said O’Neal.

Still, he likes the potential storylines for the finale of two small teams (Atlanta and Phoenix) or a scenario in which the strength of a young Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee) is played off against an aging Chris Paul (Phoenix).

“May the best team win,” he said.

As well as talking about basketball, O’Neal shed light on his newest business: esports. The tall man was a key figure in creating the basis for a new partnership between insurance company The General and the NRG team for the popular game Rocket League. Shaq is a partner in NRG and a longtime brand ambassador for The General.

In April, The General bought the naming rights for the Rocket League team from NRG, and the team is now called “The General Insurance NRG”. The company says it will be the first agreement on the Rocket League’s naming rights. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and O’Neal did not disclose the size of his stake.

O’Neal said that while not a gamer, he has seen esports success firsthand through his children, who are active gamblers. He said he got his first taste of esports at an event at the Staples Center that he attended with his kids and was instantly drawn to the excitement, energy and competitive spirit and knew this would be a good investment.

“I like what the esports community is doing – lots of scholarships, people make a living from it, and some of these esports guys are already legends,” he said.

O’Neal invests in almost every sector from food and beverage to health to automobiles. He said he looks at three things when making an investment decision: Will it change people’s lives, does he believe in it, and will it have a long lifespan?

“My system was safe and proven and I haven’t lost much,” he added.
