Zooey Deschanel thanks a person who got it through to 2020: your friend, the star of the Property Brothers Jonathan Scott.
On Jan. 2, the 500 Days of Summer star shared a photo of her and her honey on Instagram, along with a cute caption.
“My 2020 MVP was the guy who always made me happy despite having a strange and uncertain year,” she raved. “Hope for 2021 is full of silver lining for everyone.”
Zooey credit her father Caleb Deschanel, a director and cameraman who recently shot the 2019 version of The Lion King.
The actress surprised fans when she got off with the HGTV star in September 2019. Just two months later, Jonathan and Zooey made their red carpet debut at the Critics’ Choice Awards, and then went on vacation together.
They were just as inseparable in 2020 and didn’t shy away from sharing in the press how much they mean to one another. Months before Zooey told Jonathan that Jonathan helped her get through a rough year – including managing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – the reality TV personality also raved about the actress.
