Sha’Carri Richardson provides a fiery post-race interview after ending final in opposition to the Jamaican Olympic crew: “Depend me out if you’d like”

Sha’Carri Richardson made a return to track and field on Saturday, playing against the Jamaican Olympic team that won the Tokyo Olympics.

For the first time since her marijuana ban – which resulted in her missing out on the Olympics – Sha’Carris’ highly anticipated return was disappointed after finishing last in the Nike Prefontaine Classic Women’s 100m had come to the goal.

Jamaican gold medalist Elaine Sherah-Thompson took first place and set a personal best in the race, while her fellow Jamaican Olympic teammates finished second and third.

When the Jamaican Olympic team swept again, reporters focused on Sha’Carri, who gave a post-race interview after finishing ninth.

She celebrated her own return to the sport and did not express her loss.

“It’s been a great return to the sport,” said Sha’Carri Richardson. “I wanted to be able to come and perform for a month and deal with everything I was dealing with. I’m not mad at myself at all. This was a race. I’m not ready.”

Then Sha’Carri turned to her critics.

“You know what I’m capable of. Count me out if you want, ”she said. “Say anything you want because I’m here to stay. I’m not ready. I’m the sixth fastest woman in this game ever! And no one can ever take that away from me. Congratulations to the winners. Congratulations to the winners, but they’re not done with me yet. “

Shortly after the race, Sha’Carri started trending on social media. Some celebrities celebrated the victories of the Jamaican sprinters while others shared words of encouragement for Sha’Carri.

With Sha’Carri still on trend, Prefontaine Classic officials reported that she had retired from the 200-meter race that day.
