Selena Gomez stunned followers by swapping her brunette waves for platinum blonde hair

Our good sister Selena Gomez joined the hair change trend and brightened up her usual brunette waves. On Friday, the singer and actress revealed her new platinum blonde drop.

Selena debuted the refreshing look via a mirror selfie. In the photo, Selena is holding her apparently gold iPhone to the mirror with both hands. The fingernails shown in the photo frame are perfectly manicured. They are coated with smooth pastel nail polish in the colors green, yellow, peach and lavender.

Selena wore a white graphic t-shirt that is partially obscured by her iPhone. Her golden locks flow past her shoulders and stop near her armpits. The hair is parted in the middle and has dark brown roots. She smiles slightly and looks at her camera. Her face appears to be makeup free with natural rosy cheeks.

The original post showing Selena’s refreshing new look was created on Rare Beauty’s verified account. Then Selena reposted the photo on her Instagram story.

“New look. You now have to choose new Rare Beauty lips and blush tones,” read the headline in the original post.

Rare Beauty is Selena’s beauty brand, inspired by her 2020 album ‘Rare’. According to Glamor, she launched her first line of products last September. The goal was to “make an impact” and empower others to embrace their “own uniqueness,” Selena said on the brand’s official website.

“To be rare means to be comfortable,” said Selena. “I stopped trying to be perfect. I just wanna be me “

By Friday evening, Rare Beauty had received over 544,000 likes and more than 20,000 comments.
