While Quinn’s books are “tightly focused,” she says, the show has already given us hints of things to expect across the board – like the slow burn of Penelope and Colin (Luke Newton), the story of which is told in book four. Quinn says she never thought of it.
“From a writer’s point of view, it was fascinating and brilliant because I’m reading [the scripts]It was incredibly flattering because I knew so well that the authors had read all of the books and thought so holistically about the whole thing, “she says.” They brought things in and hinted at things and possibly used things in ways that so incredibly respected and honored the source material, but at the same time, you know, the changes they made … it was so clear to me that this was best for a television series. ”
There is a book for every Bridgerton sibling, and while eight seasons of Bridgerton could be a series, that doesn’t mean we have to forego the romance.
