The 67-year-old legendary actor took to Instagram on Saturday April 3 to wish her a happy 21st birthday. He shared an incredibly heartfelt caption that accompanied a solo photo of Ella, which is the first picture he shared of her in 2021.
“Happy 21st birthday to the nicest, kindest people and artist I know,” wrote John. “Your father loves you!” He interrupted it with a heart emoji.
Drummer was among those who offered support for the coming year Tommy Lee. “Happy day, not so much, little one … dear T n Britt,” he commented, adding an emoji that laughed with tears.
One Instagram user wrote: “What a perfect mix of her parents. Beautiful girl! Happy birthday.”

John and his late wife Kelly Preston greeted Ella in 2000. Kelly died in July 2020 after battling breast cancer, meaning this is Ella’s first birthday without her mother.
