J. Cole is leaving the Africa League Basketball to go residence.

J. Cole caused a stir online after reports of his signing of a contract to play professional basketball began circulating. Now, just over two weeks later, the rap star has reportedly retired from the Rwanda Patriots BBC. Sources told ESPN’s “The Undefeated” that J. Cole had fulfilled all of the obligations listed in his contract. He is reportedly being brought home from Africa “for family reasons”.

The news was shared on Twitter and Instagram by Marc J. Spears, Senior Writer of ‘The Undefeated’. There is currently no clarity as to which family obligation has caused J. Cole to say goodbye to his basketball dreams again. However, we do know that the award-winning artist was looking forward to the tire. Master P, who was also known for two short NBA stays in the 90s, announced in August that J. Cole was training rigorously.

“When I spoke to J. Cole, he said, ‘You know, big dog, you did it. What would I have to do to achieve that? ‘I said it won’t be easy to get one of those NBA jerseys, “said Master P.” There will be a lot of hatred, there will be a lot of people who don’t believe in you, but you know J. Cole – he’s the right size, he’s in the gym! “

However, not everyone was as supportive as Master P that J. Cole pursued his lifelong dream. Terrell Stoglin, who is a guard for Moroccan basketball club AS Salé, spoke to ESPN about the negatives earlier this week.

“For a man who has so much money and a different career just to come here and averaging one point per game and still be glorified, the game is very disrespectful,” said Terrell. “It is disrespectful to those who have given their whole lives for it.”

Terrell recognized some positive aspects, including the attention and funding that J. Cole’s presence could bring to the African League.

During his short time in the league, J. Cole had “5 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds,” according to ESPN, spread over three preliminary round matches. Before the news of his departure, J. Cole was gifting his teammates and coaches with new equipment.
