Hayley Hasselhoff makes history as the first curve model for European playboy.

David Hasselhoff’s daughter shared the historic cover picture on Wednesday April 14th on her Instagram and wrote that she was “deeply humbled and honored” to set this precedent for Playboy Germany.

“I’m overwhelmed with emotion about what this cover means for inclusiveness and its greater purpose in empowering women,” she wrote. “I wanted to use this platform to express that you have the power to love your body without hesitation because of society’s standards of beauty.”

Hayley paid tribute to the photographer Ellen Von Unwerthwho shot her as her “truest self” and added, “We decided to celebrate my body by shooting in this artful way.”

The 28-year-old model reflected on how her body image has affected her mental health in the past, but now: “With May as a mental heathen [sic] In the month of awareness I feel empowered to wake up and know that I can live without excuses myself. “
