Gary Owen’s spouse, Duke of Kenya, is submitting for divorce

It looks like there’s another couple that called it over.

According to TMZ, Gary Owen’s wife, Kenya Duke, filed for divorce after nearly 18 years of marriage. The website reports that online records show Kenya filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday.

The couple tied the knot in July 2003 and shared two sons and a daughter, all of whom are now adults. At the moment it is unclear what led to their split.

The couple’s family life was featured on the 2016 BET reality show, The Gary Owen Show, which ran for one season.

While promoting the show in 2016, Gary spoke to The Grio about how he and Kenya had met, saying that they met at a comedy club, and almost immediately after he called her after hearing theirs Number had received. Gary said of the site, “I said, ‘Look, I know I should wait three days, but you’re going to meet a lot of guys in three days. I’m just letting you know that I’m interested. ‘”

“Me and my wife have been together for so long and you know the race doesn’t run that often,” he continued.

Last July Kenya shared a sweet birthday message with Gary, saying, “Happy Birthday to my # 1 @garyowencomedy ♥ ️😘 ♥ ️😘 You have been the best gift and role model for our family. You always bring love followed by your entourage of laughter, stupid, fuck it, have a good time and no limits … and we love it! I wish you many, many more birthdays. I love you more than you will ever know and thankful to be with you and the children on this journey. “
