Fox Information accuses Democrats of “benefiting” from the Texas climate catastrophe

Last week the state of Texas had massive power outages due to a winter storm. The heads of state, many of them Republicans, did not seem interested in helping their voters.

Ted Cruz started famous after Cancun. Little was heard from Senator John Cornyn and Governor Greg Abbott. They seemed mainly interested in going on Fox News and promoting nonsense.

Democrats like Beto O’Rourke and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stepped forward, found shelter for people with power outages, and raised millions of dollars.

However, according to a new article in Fox News, O’Rourke and AOC didn’t do it out of the goodness of their hearts. Adam Shaw writes that the Dems were trying to “capitalize” on the Texas disaster.

The author spends quite a bit of time on the Green New Deal, which had absolutely nothing to do with the disaster. “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Anyone who has raised millions for relief efforts in Houston and is also a supporter of the controversial Green New Deal has countered this and said the crisis is proof of the need for such a proposal. “

Shaw also points to a tweet in which AOC wrote: “The infrastructure outages in Texas are literally what happens if you don’t pursue a Green New Deal, ”she tweeted. “Weak in large-scale next-generation public infrastructure investments, little focus on equity to keep communities lagging behind, leaders against climate change so they don’t prepare for disaster too long.”

The author also struggled with O’Rourke calling on the Abbott and Texas leadership for their incompetence.
