Forensic pathologist testifies that George Floyd died of “subdual restraint and compression”

Tenth day of #DerekChauvin The process continued today. Dr. Lindsey Thomas, a forensic pathologist, testified #GeorgeFloyd died due to “subdual restraint and compression” by law enforcement officers.

The pathologist, who testified that she had performed over 5,000 autopsies, gave a very critical testimony for the state, stating that she was not paid to do it.

Thomas also testified that Floyd would not have died that night had it not been for officer’s subdual reluctance and compression to be Derek Chauvin.

With so many videos and from different angles, Thomas said she has never had a case like this. “In this case, I believe the primary mechanism of death is asphyxiation or a lack of oxygen,” she told the court.

Making it clear that George Floyd did indeed die at the hands of officials, Thomas said, “The point is, this is due to subdual law enforcement, restraint and neck compression. What that means to me is that the activities of law enforcement officers resulted in Mr Floyd’s death. “

As you know, Thomas is one of many witnesses who support the fact that George Floyd would have been alive had it not been for Derek Chauvin’s knee on his neck, which many have testified was unable to breathe.
