Billie Eilish is no stranger to living to the beat of her own drum.
The singer accidentally broke into the music scene in 2016. When she was only 13, she and her older brother were Finneas wrote and produced “Ocean Eyes”, which was only made available to Soundcloud at the request of Billie’s dance teacher because he wanted to choreograph a routine for it. But by the time the siblings woke up the next day, “Ocean Eyes” had gone viral and within a few months Billie was signed to Interscope Records.
Fast forward to 2021 and Billie, now 19, is a great pop star preparing for her second Grammy Awards.
On Sunday, March 14th, she will add four more awards to her already impressive collection. At last year’s ceremony, Billie won the four major categories, becoming the first female artist and second female artist to win Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist that same night. (The teenager also took home the best pop vocal album for recording.)
