Daniel Silva breaks his silence after Corey La Barrie dies in a crash

Daniel Silva takes responsibility for his role in the fatal car accident that was killed Corey La Barrie.

The tattoo artist asked for forgiveness from the loved ones and fans of the late YouTube star in a YouTube video released on February 16 that was his first public comments since the May 2020 incident. Silva read a letter on behalf of the La Barrie family to the judge who led the case requesting that the second degree murder charges be dismissed in favor of manslaughter.

In July 2020, Silva reached a plea deal with public prosecutors and did not raise any objections to a criminal offense for gross vehicle manslaughter. A month later, he was sentenced to 364 days in prison, five years probation and 250 hours of community service.

Now as the first anniversary of La Barrie’s death draws near, Silva said he was still struggling with his decision to get behind the wheel that night.

“It’s almost impossible to come up with the right words for something like this,” the Ink Master star shared, “and right now I’m still processing all of the emotions I’m going through and just being forced to face the fact . ” that this accident resulted in the death of one of my best friends. “
