Caitlyn Jenner debuts the primary marketing campaign video in her run for the Governor of California

Roomies, looks like Caitlyn Jenner didn’t play internet games when she first showed interest in running for California governor. The former Olympic decathlete released her first campaign video on Tuesday. In the three-minute ad, Caitlyn calls herself a “compassionate disruptor” who deals with “elite” career politicians.

“I came here 48 years ago with a dream to be the greatest athlete in the world,” Caitlyn said in the ad. “Now I’m going into a different kind of race, probably my most important one so far: to save California.”

This is the first time Caitlyn has entered the political scene to run for office. Recent reports showed that the reality TV star filed the papers last month to stand against Democratic governor Gavin Newsom.

The advertisement first appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, according to ABC News. It was later published in full on Caitlyn’s official Instagram account. Caitlyn’s video combined past and present clips of herself, Californians, their landscapes, and recent hurdles like raging forest fires and closed shops.

“I want to carry the torch for parents who have had to balance their child’s work and education, for entrepreneurs who are forced to shut down, for pastors who are unable to be with their church, for the family where they lost their home. A fire for a generation of students who lost a year of education, ”Caitlyn said in the ad.

The 71-year-old also said she was “ready to be governor for all Californians”.

It wasn’t until this weekend that Caitlyn hit the media headlines for her comment on trans girls playing in the girls’ sport.

“There’s a question of fairness,” said Caitlyn. “That’s why I reject biological boys who trans-compete in girls’ sports at school. It’s just not fair and we need to protect girls’ sports in our schools. “
