Black Panther sequel official launch date and title revealed – movie additionally set to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman

#Roommates, after years of anticipation and the untimely and tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman, the sequel to the record breaking ‘Black Panther’ finally has an official release date and title. A recent announcement from Marvel Studios officially confirmed that not only is the 2018 sequel to ‘Black Panther’ on the way, but that it is arriving sooner than many fans originally expected.

@ENews reports that Marvel Studios has just revealed its upcoming film franchise for the next few years – and the ‘Black Panther’ announcement was easily what stole most of the attention. It has now been confirmed that the sequel to the previous blockbuster will be titled “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and will officially hit theaters on July 8, 2022.

One of the stars of the film, Lupita Nyong’o, stated last month that the sequel to ‘Black Panther’ had been formally redesigned to pay an appropriate and touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who memorably played the main character T’Challa.

Back in December, Disney released a statement that reassured fans by confirming that Chadwick’s role would not be re-cast but “will explore the world of Wakanda and the rich characters featured in the first film.” In addition, Marvel President Kevin Feige previously spoke about Chadwick’s contribution to the ‘Black Panther’ universe.

“Chadwick Boseman was an incredibly talented actor and an inspiring person who has influenced our entire lives professionally and personally. His portrayal of T’Challa the Black Panther is iconic and goes beyond the iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past. “

While watching the sequel without Chadwick Boseman will definitely be bittersweet, we’re excited to see how the film pays tribute to its character’s legacy.
