Bachelorette Australia will play an openly bisexual lead for the first time.
Australia’s Channel 10 announced on Wednesday May 19th that the dating series would star Brooke Blurtonthat is openly bisexual and whose season will include a cast of male and female candidates for her to this day. The show is currently occupying attendees for Brooke’s season, and a premiere date has yet to be announced.
This is the first time in the world that the franchise has had a mixed cast for The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
“I’m not sure Australia is ready for this – so am I,” Brooke told The Daily Telegraph on May 19.
Brooke, 26, was a candidate for Nick Cummins‘Affections for the Australian version of The Bachelor in 2018, and it appeared in his Bachelor in Paradise the following year.
On May 19, the youth worker published a photo of herself on Instagram to mark the momentous occasion. She captioned it, “I’m ready, I hope you are too!”
