Trump is one step nearer to going through legal prices as a grand jury has been convened
Manhattan Attorney Cyrus Vance has convened a grand jury to hear evidence and weigh criminal charges against Donald Trump.
The Washington Post reported:
Manhattan’s district attorney has convened the grand jury, which is expected to decide whether former President Donald Trump, other company executives, or the company itself should be indicted if prosecutors bring criminal charges to the panel, according to two people familiar with the development.
… ..
The move suggests that District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr.’s investigation into the former president and his company has reached an advanced stage after more than two years. It also suggests that Vance believes he has found evidence of a crime – if not from Trump, then from someone who may be close to him or from his company.
This is a huge step forward, one that is a signal that District Attorney Vance has stood his case and has found enough evidence of one or more crimes within the Trump organization.
Trump no longer has the presidency to hide behind. There is no such thing as immunity. He cannot buy witnesses with promises of pardon. The Manhattan Attorney’s Office appears to be deep within the Trump organization, and all of these criminal secrets that Trump has been hiding for decades are being revealed to a grand jury.
Donald Trump has never been as close to criminal charges as it is today.
