Trevante Rhodes as Mike Tyson in Hulu’s biopic collection ‘Iron Mike’

It looks like another project on the life of the legendary Mike Tyson is in the works. This time around, however, there will be a biopic series streaming on Hulu that will star none other than Trevante Rhodes.

According to the deadline, production of the series should begin this year and should consist of eight parts. According to the synopsis, the series will “explore the wild, tragic and controversial life and career of former world champion Tyson”.

Back in February, Tyson called Hulu after they announced the series and said, “Hulu’s announcement that it would make an unauthorized mini-series of Tyson history without compensation is unfortunate but not surprising.” He continued to call the streaming service on charges of “cultural embezzlement” and called their first announcement “deaf”.

As many of you know, another Mike Tyson project with Jamie Foxx is in the works. Back in March, Tyson made it clear that the project with Jamie is the authorized one.

Speaking of their upcoming series, Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals, said, “Biographical imagery is a fan favorite and staple of the movie and television business, and often the subjects are not involved. Our strategy is to apply a modern lens to stories and characters from popular culture of the past. We’ve had a lot of success with it and I think it reveals interesting things, not just about where we’ve been, but also about where we are. We look forward to continuing the creative talks behind Iron Mike. “

Trevante Rhodes has starred in the Oscar-winning film “Moonlight”, Netflix’s “Bird Box” and most recently in Hulu’s “The United States vs. Billie Holiday”.
