Selena Gomez Says She Might Retire From Music: “I Need To Attempt Once more”
Selena Gomez will be on the cover of the upcoming April issue of Vogue magazine. In the issue published online this month, she shared her latest take on music and more.
When Gomez spoke to the magazine about her experience in the music industry, she stated that she may retire from music.
“It’s hard to keep making music if people don’t necessarily take you seriously,” said Gomez.
Gomez continued, “I’ve had moments when I thought, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this? “Lose You to Love Me” was the best song I ever released in my opinion, and for some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who like my music and I’m so grateful for that to keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it will be different. I want to try again before I maybe retire. “
Gomez also said she wanted to spend more time producing and “give me a real chance at acting,” says Vogue.
Gomez also discussed not being on social media anymore.
“I woke up one morning and looked up Instagram like any other person and I was done,” she said. “I was fed up with reading terrible things. I was tired of seeing other people’s lives. After that decision, it was instant freedom. My life before me was my life and I was there and I couldn’t have been happier about it. “
The pictures we see on Instagram and Twitter are posted by her assistant. “Everyone always asks me, ‘Are you secretly there? are you lying?’ and I say, “I have no reason to lie,” said Gomez.
