Republicans in complete disarray as Trump pushes for a SAVE America bill that will never pass

The SAVE America Act will never pass. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has said it again and again. Republicans don’t have the votes in the Senate to eliminate the filibuster, and even if they did, at least four Republicans oppose the SAVE America Act, meaning it doesn’t have enough votes to pass with a simple majority.

The voices just aren’t there.

Trump’s latest ploy to force Senate Republicans to pass his midterm voter fraud bill is to overturn the confirmation of his popular pick as Director of National Intelligence in order to keep his unpopular and unqualified interim in office, thereby forcing Senate Republicans to do what he wants.

The SAVE America Act is Trump’s latest move to prevent a Democratic victory in November. The president is desperately trying to avoid lame duck status, and his panic is causing major problems for Majority Leader Thune.

The clashes between Republicans have become so bad that Trump is being accused of trying to cost his party its majority in the Senate.
