Matt Gaetz busts “pretend” Republican cowboy who’s operating for a seat within the Texas house

That year, both Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene were elected to Congress. Previously, Republican voters had elected the likes of Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar and Marsha Blackburn into office.

So one can forgive Dan Rodimer for deciding that GOP voters will vote for pretty much anyone as long as they have an R next to their name. The former pro-wrestler has been aiming for election to the House of Representatives for years.

Rodimer won the Republican nomination for a Congressional race in Nevada in 2020, in which he lost. Undeterred by his loss, the Republican recently announced that he would be seeking the Texas 6th District nomination.

The Republican made the announcement with a ridiculous video of him cosplaying a cowboy. He has given the advertisement a title: “Tired of the DC BULL coming? Texas has BIG problems – we have to send a BIG FIGHTER to Congress to solve them. Send BIG DAN to Congress to end Nancy Pelosis BULL! “

The video was ridiculed by Democrats and Republicans alike. Even Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz couldn’t resist shooting him. Gaetz wrote: “Fake Texan makes a fake video of a fake bull ride. We already have enough Phonys in Congress. Texans, please send this Nevada man back to his true home state (where he lost two previous elections). Texas shouldn’t import its congressmen. Big Dan is all hat, no cattle. “
