Kanye West asks Kim Kardashian for joint custody and no spouse’s help along with his divorce

Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West back in February and sent shock waves over social media. Two months later, Kanye West filed his answer about their divorce. The former couple has reached an agreement when it comes to custody of their children and there is no need for spouse support.

In documents received from People, Kanye asked for joint legal and physical custody of their four children, and he also asked that he or Kim receive spousal support.

The documents filed by Kanye’s attorney did not mention a date of separation, but irreconcilable differences were listed as the reason for their divorce. As many of you know, Kim and Kanye officially tied the knot in 2014, and earlier this year Kim officially filed for divorce after it was rumored she would.

TMZ notes that Kim Kardashian also asked for joint custody of her children and no wife support for her or Kanye. As many of us know, Kim and Kanye are more than capable of supporting themselves. Just last week, Forbes estimated that Kim is now a billionaire and that Kanye is worth billions himself.

The move toward divorce came sometime after Kanye West went through a time when he tweeted excessively about the problems he was having in his marriage as well as his problems with his future ex-wife’s family.

Some of the topics that went on in Kim and Kanye’s marriage were covered in the current and final seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
