WFC is a buy still like PG Bull case for GOOGL? 1. Wells Fargo is a Buy Morgan Stanley increased its price target on Wells Fargo (WFC) to $60 from $54 due to higher interest rates. We have suggested investors buy financial stocks to take advantage of the Fed’s tightening cycle – and Jim Cramer on Monday recommended that new club members buy the stock. 2. We Still Like Procter & Gamble Deutsche Bank downgraded several household product names on Monday but maintained a buy rating on Procter & Gamble (PG), citing its reasonably set earnings expectations and valuations. We continue to like PG as a reliable stock in turbulent economic conditions. Jim said Monday that the stock remains one of his all-time favorites, especially as the US dollar’s strong highs and raw costs fall. 3. Bull case for Alphabet? As more companies lay off employees, particularly in the technology industry, we expect more people to lose their jobs across industries. We advise investors who think these layoffs are good news for corporate spending items to consider buying shares in Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL), which, unlike some of its big-tech counterparts, still has its headcount has not reduced significantly.
