Rapper and YouTuber DDG has broken his silence and clapped back to comedian and actress Amanda Seales after her earlier comments about his relationship with Halle Bailey. As previously reported, he received backlash in September after claiming the racism was over. If you remember, DDG spoke to Bootleg Kev and shared his thoughts on Halle Bailey being criticized for her role in The Little Mermaid. “I didn’t know people were so racist. I did not know that. I thought this shit was gone by now. I thought this shit was gone. I thought Martin Luther King canceled that shit. That’s crazy,” he said.
Recently, the Michigan native sat down for an interview on Vlad TV and called out to Amanda for worrying about him and the singer at their “great age.”
When asked about Amanda, the YouTuber claimed he didn’t know who she was. Speaking during the interview, he said, “I thought that was lame. I don’t even know who that is, and it’s not disrespectful shit either.”
He added: “How old is she? Why would you even talk about a relationship that young?” The reporter told DDG that Amanda is forty-one years old. “At your advanced age, are you talking about a 24-year-old and a 22-year-old date?” he asked.
You can tell Amanda’s comments struck a chord. While adding her two cents to the backlash DDG received back in September, she shared a video on Instagram saying, “She (Halle) may not get an STD, but she will get STS — sexually transmitted stupidity.” The ‘Black, Funny, And Smart’ host didn’t respond, but that hasn’t stopped the housemates from siding with DDG.
