Cardi B reveals that she wrote her “Massive Paper” recording for DJ Khaled’s album in lower than 48 hours
Once the summer is over, we can always count on DJ Khaled to bring out some bang! His Khaled Khaled album has just fallen, and the project features a list of the game’s greatest artists, including Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, and Cardi B.
After the success of Cardi’s single “Up”, fans have been waiting to hear more bars from her and her contribution to Khaled’s “Big Paper” definitely got people talking.
Cardi went live on Instagram to talk about her verse, explaining that she had to write the verse and mix it up and master it in less than 48 hours!
“I literally didn’t do it [think] I wanted to do the record, I didn’t [think[ I was gonna make it because I got the beat before yesterday…and yes I wrote the record,” she said. “And I was just like brainstorming, like what the f*ck.”
She also spoke about her heavy accent and how her pronunciation of words has become an insecurity of hers since becoming a rapper.
“One thing I’ve been very insecure about is my accent, I have a really big accent, and my pronunciation,” Cardi said. “So I was making sure that everything was mixed right. Literally I think Khaled got the record today and he got it mastered and everything.”
Despite the time crunch, Cardi made it on the album, and it looks like DJ Khaled is proud of the finished product.
