Aaron Carter useless at 34: New Children on the Block and others pay tribute
Hollywood mourns him Aaron Carter.
The “I Want Candy” singer and younger brother of Back Street Boys star Nick Carter was found unresponsive at his home in Palmdale, Calif. on Nov. 5, his rep confirmed to E! News. He was 34.
While a spokesman for the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office told E! Following news that officers had arrived at Aaron’s home, authorities have not provided any further details at this time. His cause of death is not yet known.
Aaron’s death comes just a month before his 35th birthday and just two weeks before his and his ex’s Melanie Martins son prince 1. The ‘Aaron’s Party’ artist – who rose to fame in the late ’90s and has publicly battled addiction over the years – announced the birth of his first child in November 2021. “Prince is precious,” he wrote on Instagram under the time. “I love you son.”
When news of Aaron’s death broke on November 5, many fans and other stars took to social media to mourn his passing, including the singer and One Tree Hill graduate Tyler Hiltonwho tweeted, “No…. This @aaroncarter news is heartbreaking… this boy had such a spark. Have known him for years and always really liked him, he was warm and really funny.”
