Before we talk about how this move helps Democrats, there are two things you need to know about Donald Trump’s support of Ken Paxton in the Texas Republican Senate primary.

Senate Republicans didn’t want Trump to support Paxton because they think the Texas Attorney General will jeopardize the seat. Senate Republicans have been pushing Trump for months to support incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, who has done much better with moderate voters in Texas and would have been a difficult opponent for Democratic nominee James Talarico.

Trump likely made that endorsement now because internal polls show Paxton won the runoff. If Paxton lost, Trump wouldn’t go near him or offer his support. Trump loves to support candidates who already look like they will win and then brag about his support record. The president does it again in Texas.

Since Trump has been endorsing Paxton for a long time, let’s just look at part of it:

The esteemed Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, an “America First Patriot” and someone who has always been extremely loyal to me and our AWESOME MAGA MOVEMENT, is running for the United States Senate to represent a place I love and have WON BIG three times in 2024 with 6.4 million votes (by far the most votes in the state’s history)!

I know Ken well, have tested him at the highest and most difficult levels and he is a WINNER! Ken is a strong supporter of TERMINATING THE FILIBUSTER and, importantly, THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, something that resonates with 87% of respondents, including the Dumocrats, and yet appears to lack support. Maybe Ken can help advance these important elements of government, because using the filibuster as an example, the Democrats will end it on their first day in office, giving us two additional states, DC and Puerto Rico, and a greatly expanded United States Supreme Court, probably with their dream number of 21 justices up from the 9 we currently have – and those new justices will be radical left-wing lunatics! Two years ago our country was DEAD – now we have the “HOTTEST” country in the world – and I want to keep it that way. Ken Paxton will help me and MAKE AMERICA BIGGER, BETTER AND STRONGER THAN EVER!

This support from Trump was crazy. Trump appears to be campaigning for the Senate seat in Texas.

The president also delivered his share of nonsense when he tried to get Texans to vote for Paxton over Talarico in November.
