It was also easy for Meryl to take on Miranda as she and Anna didn’t know each other when she worked on the film in 2006 and only became friends afterwards. And of course she finds the fashion icon a real joy.

“She’s very funny,” Meryl said. “But I don’t think she’s mysterious. I just think she has something that’s not in fashion right now, which is the integrity of her own life, her own space, her own self.”

“And in the world of over-sharing,” she continued, “where everyone takes you to the bathroom before the event and shows you the prep and everything, I just love their restraint.”
