MARY RUTH KAYSER

Mary Ruth Kayser, 78, of Mountainair passed away in Albuquerque on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2010. Mary was born on July 25, 1931 in Mountainair to H. W. and Nellie G. (Short) Hendricks. She was a lifelong resident of Mountainair. She married Paul A. Kayser Sr., her loving husband of 62 years, on Sept. 19, 1948 in Mountainair. Mary was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mountainair. She was active in church, Sunday school, Missionettes and Royal Ranger Boys. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, H.W. "Buddy" Hendricks and Sidney Hendricks; and grandson, Scott Ingram. She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Kayser Sr. of Mountainair; sons, Paul "Rick" Kayser and his wife Diana, Gary Kayser and his wife Linda, Robby Kayser and his wife Judy, Rusty Kayser, and Randy Kayser and his wife Sarah, all of Mountainair; daughters, Sandra Gurule and her husband John of Mountainair, and Terri Corrao and her husband Jason of Belen; raised son, Perry Melton, and daughters, Loretta (Silva) Moseley and Stella (Silva) Chavez; brother, John Hendricks and his wife Sandi of Mountainair; sisters, Evelyn Orr of Las Lunas, Helen Mitchell of T or C, and Sue Hicks and her husband Larry of Las Cruces; 19 grandchildren; 31 1/2 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. There was a viewing Feb. 5 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair. Funeral services were at the Assembly of God Church in Mountainair on Feb. 6 with Pastor Ed Rymer officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Kayser, Gary Kayser, Rusty Kayser, Robbie Kayser, Randy Kayser and Perry Melton. Honorary pallbearers are all Mary Ruth's grandsons and great-grandsons. Burial followed at the Kayser East View Cemetery in Mountainair.

AMADITA "AMY" G. ANAYA

Amadita "Amy" G. Anaya, 74, passed away at her home in Tajique on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010. Amy was born in Tajique on Dec. 17, 1935 to Frank and Emilia (Sanchez) Garcia. She was a lifelong resident of Tajique. Amy married her loving husband of 54 years, Herman Anaya, on October 22, 1955. She was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church in Tajique. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emilia Garcia; daughter, Baby Jeanette Anaya; brothers, Epimeño Garcia, Richardo Garcia and Elijio Garcia; great-granddaughter, Ruby Barela; and niece, Annabel Lesperance. She is survived by her husband, Herman Moises Anaya Sr. of Tajique; sons, Herman K. Anaya Jr. of Tajique, Martin R. Anaya and his wife Helen of Tajique, and Larry Anaya and his wife Senaida of Estancia; daughters, Jeanette D. Barela of Tajique, Lorraine R. Perea of Tajique, and Polly A. Conant and her husband James of Albuquerque; brothers, Julian Garcia of Tajique, Geraldo Garcia and his wife Gloria of Mountainair, and Mariano Garcia and his wife Onila of Cedar Crest; brother-in-law, Olivero Anaya; sisters, Peggy Anaya and her husband Biterbo of Tajique, Rita Sedillo and her husband Nick of Estancia, and Frances Herrera and her husband Ignacio of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Eslinda Sanchez, Rosie Urban and her husband Manuel, and Delora Barela and her husband Victor; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Estancia. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Young officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at San Antonio Catholic Cemetery in Tajique. Pallbearers will be Juan Barela, Leandro Barela, Jacob Barela, Julio Anaya, Moises Anaya and Aaron Vargas. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Lesperance, Jason Quintana, Peter Vigil, Joseph David Hidalgo, Diego Lance and Jerry Montoya.
