EDUARDO "ED" JOSE MANCHEGO

Eduardo "Ed" Jose Manchego, 76, peacefully passed away at his home in Moriarty on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Eduardo was born on July 10, 1933, in Narango, N.M., to Domingo and Matilda (Garcia) Manchego. Ed lived in Moriarty since 1985 coming from Santa Fe. Ed was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10835. He was involved in many church ministries including Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and training of altar servers. Ed is survived by his wife, Judith (Guthrie) Manchego; daughters, Patti Jo Wagner of Canon City, CO, Marietta Margaret Carrey of Bloomfield, Judith Roseanne Hall of Denver and Donelle Judean Maul of Loveland, Colo.; brother, Ralph Manchego of Albuquerque; sisters, Rose Cordova of Moriarty, Virginia Sanchez of Albuquerque, and Imelda Murray of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Edward Joseph Manchego who passed away in 1976 and his daughter Jana Lee Manchego who passed away in 1983.There will be a Rosary recited at 9 a.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty with the Rev. Fr. William Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1 p.m. Pallbearers are Ed's grandsons, Joseph Wagner, Nicholas Wagner, Brandon Wagner, Stephen Polk, Samuel Maul and his nephew, Charlie Murray. NELVA JUNE TYREE

Nelva June Tyree, 78, of Corona passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Lubbock, Texas. Nelva was born on Dec. 2, 1931, in Hunt, Texas, to Levi L. and Lillian (Crider) Mogford. Nelva lived in Corona for the past 48 years, since June of 1962, coming from Douglas, Ariz. She married Tommy Tyree on October 2, 1948, in Carrizozo, NM. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Nelva was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Noland D. Mogford and Burel Mogford; sister, Arlis Mogford Yancey; and grandson, Mitchell Ray Tyree Jr. "Bo." She is survived by her husband, Tommy Tyree of Corona; sons, Mitchell Ray Tyree and his wife Charlene of Eunice, NM and Bill Tyree and his wife Nora of Belen; brother, Gale D. Mogford; sister, Nona Faye Holt; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. There was a viewing on Feb. 3 at the Corona High School Auditorium followed by the service at with Rev. Ray Wells officiating. A reception followed the service at the High School Recreation Room. Pallbearers were Mitch Tyree, Bill Tyree, Casey Tyree, Kirt Tyree, David Tyree, and Richard Tyree. Burial followed at the Corona Cemetery in Corona.
